Sabhiya

When others do not understand,let us, who do understand this,restrain ourselves in this regard;for that is how conflicts are laid to rest.

“Pare ca na vijānanti, mayamettha yamāmase; Ye ca tattha vijānanti, tato sammanti medhagā.

When others do not understand,“Pare ca na vijānanti, let us, who do understand this,mayamettha yamāmase; restrain ourselves in this regard;Ye ca tattha vijānanti, for that is how conflicts are laid to rest.tato sammanti medhagā.

And when those who don’t understandbehave as though they were immortal,those who understand the DhammaDhamma1. Fenómeno; cualquier cosa que ocurre y es cognoscible. 2. Fenómeno mental, «pensamiento». 3. Principio, especialmente los principios de causalidad. 4. Doctrina, enseñanza. También, principios de comportamiento que los seres humanos deben seguir para armonizar con el orden natural correcto de las cosas; cualidades mentales que deben desarrollar para realizar la cualidad inherente de la mente en sí misma. Por extensión, «Dhamma» (usualmente en mayúscula) se usa también para denotar cualquier doctrina que enseña tales cosas. Yadā ca avijānantā, iriyantyamarā viya; Vijānanti ca ye dhammaṁ, āturesu anāturā.

And when those who don’t understandYadā ca avijānantā, behave as though they were immortal,iriyantyamarā viya; those who understand the DhammaVijānanti ca ye dhammaṁ, are like the healthy among the sick.āturesu anāturā.

Any lax act,any corrupt observance,or suspicious spiritual life,is not very fruitful.

Yaṁ kiñci sithilaṁ kammaṁ, saṅkiliṭṭhañca yaṁ vataṁ; Saṅkassaraṁ brahmacariyaṁ, na taṁ hoti mahapphalaṁ.

Any lax act,Yaṁ kiñci sithilaṁ kammaṁ, any corrupt observance,saṅkiliṭṭhañca yaṁ vataṁ; or suspicious spiritual life,Saṅkassaraṁ brahmacariyaṁ, is not very fruitful.na taṁ hoti mahapphalaṁ.

Whoever has no respectfor their spiritual companionsis as far from true Dhammaas the firmament from the earth.

Yassa sabrahmacārīsu, gāravo nūpalabbhati; Ārakā hoti saddhammā, nabhaṁ puthaviyā yathā”ti.

Whoever has no respectYassa sabrahmacārīsu, for their spiritual companionsgāravo nūpalabbhati; is as far from true DhammaĀrakā hoti saddhammā, as the firmament from the earth.nabhaṁ puthaviyā yathā”ti.
