Soṇa of the Sharp Ears

I’ve received ordination;I am liberated, without defilements;I’ve seen the Blessed One myself,and even stayed together with him.

“Upasampadā ca me laddhā, vimutto camhi anāsavo; So ca me bhagavā diṭṭho, vihāre ca sahāvasiṁ.

I’ve received ordination;“Upasampadā ca me laddhā, I am liberated, without defilements;vimutto camhi anāsavo; I’ve seen the Blessed One myself,So ca me bhagavā diṭṭho, and even stayed together with him.vihāre ca sahāvasiṁ.

The Blessed One, the teacher,spent much of the night in the open;then he, who is so skilled in meditation,entered his dwelling.

Bahudeva rattiṁ bhagavā, abbhokāsetināmayi; Vihārakusalo satthā, vihāraṁ pāvisī tadā.

The Blessed One, the teacher,Bahudeva rattiṁ bhagavā, spent much of the night in the open;abbhokāsetināmayi; then he, who is so skilled in meditation,Vihārakusalo satthā, entered his dwelling.vihāraṁ pāvisī tadā.

Spreading his outer robe,Gotama made his bed,like a lion in a rocky cave,with fear and dread given up.

Santharitvāna saṅghāṭiṁ, seyyaṁ kappesi gotamo; Sīho selaguhāyaṁva, pahīnabhayabheravo.

Spreading his outer robe,Santharitvāna saṅghāṭiṁ, Gotama made his bed,seyyaṁ kappesi gotamo; like a lion in a rocky cave,Sīho selaguhāyaṁva, with fear and dread given up.pahīnabhayabheravo.

Then, with lovely enunciation,Soṇa, a disciple of the BuddhaBuddhaEl nombre dado a quien redescubre por sí mismo el sendero liberador del Dhamma, tras un largo período de haber sido olvidado por el mundo. When he has completely understood <j>the five aggregates,developed the direct route,and arrived at ultimate peace,undefiled, he’ll be fully quenched.
