While staying at homeI heard the teaching from a monk.I saw the stainless DhammaDhamma1. Fenómeno; cualquier cosa que ocurre y es cognoscible. 2. Fenómeno mental, «pensamiento». 3. Principio, especialmente los principios de causalidad. 4. Doctrina, enseñanza. También, principios de comportamiento que los seres humanos deben seguir para armonizar con el orden natural correcto de las cosas; cualidades mentales que deben desarrollar para realizar la cualidad inherente de la mente en sí misma. Por extensión, «Dhamma» (usualmente en mayúscula) se usa también para denotar cualquier doctrina que enseña tales cosas. Leaving behind my son and my daughter,my riches and my grain,I had my hair cut off,and went forth to homelessness.

Sāhaṁ puttaṁ dhītarañca, dhanadhaññañca chaḍḍiya; Kese chedāpayitvāna, pabbajiṁ anagāriyaṁ.

Leaving behind my son and my daughter,Sāhaṁ puttaṁ dhītarañca, my riches and my grain,dhanadhaññañca chaḍḍiya; I had my hair cut off,Kese chedāpayitvāna, and went forth to homelessness.pabbajiṁ anagāriyaṁ.

As a trainee nun,I developed the direct path.I gave up greed and hate,along with associated defilements.

Sikkhamānā ahaṁ santī, bhāventī maggamañjasaṁ; Pahāsiṁ rāgadosañca, tadekaṭṭhe ca āsave.

When I was fully ordained as a nun,I recollected my past lives,and purified my clairvoyance,immaculate and fully developed.

Bhikkhunī upasampajja, pubbajātimanussariṁ; Dibbacakkhu visodhitaṁ, *Dibbacakkhu visodhitaṁ → visodhitaṁ dibbacakkhuṁ (bj); dibbacakkhuṁvimalaṁ sādhubhāvitaṁ.
