“Mendicants, these four individuals are found in the world.What four?The blameworthy, the mostly blameworthy, the slightly blameworthy, and the blameless.

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ. Katame cattāro? Sāvajjo, vajjabahulo, appavajjo, anavajjo.

“Mendicants, these four individuals are found in the world.
“Cattārome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ.
What four?
Katame cattāro?
The blameworthy, the mostly blameworthy, the slightly blameworthy, and the blameless.
Sāvajjo, vajjabahulo, appavajjo, anavajjo.

“Mendicants, these four individuals are found in the world.“Cattārome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ. What four?Katame cattāro? The blameworthy, the mostly blameworthy, the slightly blameworthy, and the blameless.Sāvajjo, vajjabahulo, appavajjo, anavajjo.

And how is an individual blameworthy?It’s when an individual does things by way of body, speech, and mind that are blameworthy.That’s how an individual is blameworthy.

Kathañca, bhikkhave, puggalo sāvajjo hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo sāvajjena kāyakammena samannāgato hoti, sāvajjena vacīkammena samannāgato hoti, sāvajjena manokammena samannāgato hoti. Evaṁ kho, bhikkhave, puggalo sāvajjo hoti.

And how is an individual blameworthy?
Kathañca, bhikkhave, puggalo sāvajjo hoti?
It’s when an individual does things by way of body, speech, and mind that are blameworthy.
Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo sāvajjena kāyakammena samannāgato hoti, sāvajjena vacīkammena samannāgato hoti, sāvajjena manokammena samannāgato hoti.
That’s how an individual is blameworthy.
Evaṁ kho, bhikkhave, puggalo sāvajjo hoti.
