“With what morality, what conduct,fostering what deeds,would a person lay the foundations right,and reach the highest goal?”

“Kiṁsīlo kiṁsamācāro, kāni kammāni brūhayaṁ; Naro sammā niviṭṭhassa, uttamatthañca pāpuṇe”.

“With what morality, what conduct,
“Kiṁsīlo kiṁsamācāro,
fostering what deeds,
kāni kammāni brūhayaṁ;
would a person lay the foundations right,
Naro sammā niviṭṭhassa,
and reach the highest goal?”
uttamatthañca pāpuṇe”.

“Honoring elders without jealousy,they’d know the time to visit their teachers.Treasuring the chance for a DhammaDhamma1. Fenómeno; cualquier cosa que ocurre y es cognoscible. 2. Fenómeno mental, «pensamiento». 3. Principio, especialmente los principios de causalidad. 4. Doctrina, enseñanza. At the right time, they’d enter the teacher’s presence

They’d call to mind and put into practice
Atthaṁ dhammaṁ saṁyamaṁ brahmacariyaṁ,

Hassaṁ jappaṁ paridevaṁ padosaṁ, Māyākataṁ kuhanaṁ giddhi mānaṁ; Sārambhaṁ kakkasaṁ kasāvañca mucchaṁ, *Sārambhaṁ kakkasaṁ kasāvañca mucchaṁ → sārambhakakkassakasāvamucchaṁ (bj, sya-all, pts-vp-pli1)Hitvā care vītamado ṭhitatto.

Understanding is the essence of well-spoken words,stillness is the essence of learning and understanding.Wisdom and learning do not flourishin a hasty and negligent person.

Viññātasārāni subhāsitāni, Sutañca viññātasamādhisāraṁ; Na tassa paññā ca sutañca vaḍḍhati, Yo sāhaso hoti naro pamatto.

Understanding is the essence of well-spoken words,
Viññātasārāni subhāsitāni,
stillness is the essence of learning and understanding.
Sutañca viññātasamādhisāraṁ;
Wisdom and learning do not flourish
Na tassa paññā ca sutañca vaḍḍhati,
in a hasty and negligent person.
Yo sāhaso hoti naro pamatto.

Dhamme ca ye ariyapavedite ratā, Anuttarā te vacasā manasā kammunā ca; Te santisoraccasamādhisaṇṭhitā, Sutassa paññāya ca sāramajjhagū”ti.

Those happy with the teaching <j>proclaimed by the Noble One
Dhamme ca ye ariyapavedite ratā,
are supreme in speech, mind, and deed.
Anuttarā te vacasā manasā kammunā ca;
Abiding in peace, gentleness, and stillness,
Te santisoraccasamādhisaṇṭhitā,
they’ve realized the essence of learning and wisdom.”
Sutassa paññāya ca sāramajjhagū”ti.
