Giving up a hundred ounces of bronze,*According to Olivelle (King, Governance, and Law in Ancient India), a pala is approximately 37.76 gm, roughly an ounce.and a hundred grains of gold,*The rājika is the weight of a mustard seed, somewhat parallel to the “grain” in the Imperial system.I took a bowl made of clay:this is my second initiation.
“Hitvā satapalaṁ kaṁsaṁ, Sovaṇṇaṁ satarājikaṁ; Aggahiṁ mattikāpattaṁ, Idaṁ dutiyābhisecanan”ti.
