I wandered for almsthough feeble, leaning on a staff.My limbs wobbledand I fell to the ground right there.Seeing the danger of the body,my mind was freed.

“Piṇḍapātaṁ caritvāna, daṇḍamolubbha dubbalā; Vedhamānehi gattehi, tattheva nipatiṁ chamā; Disvā ādīnavaṁ kāye, atha cittaṁ vimucci me”ti.

I wandered for alms
“Piṇḍapātaṁ caritvāna,
though feeble, leaning on a staff.
daṇḍamolubbha dubbalā;
My limbs wobbled
Vedhamānehi gattehi,
and I fell to the ground right there.
tattheva nipatiṁ chamā;
Seeing the danger of the body,
Disvā ādīnavaṁ kāye,
my mind was freed.
atha cittaṁ vimucci me”ti.
