“Tisse yuñjassu dhammehi, khaṇo taṁ mā upaccagā; Khaṇātītā hi socanti, nirayamhi samappitā”ti.

Tissā, apply yourself to good qualities—
“Tisse yuñjassu dhammehi,
don’t let the moment pass you by.
khaṇo taṁ mā upaccagā;
For if you miss your moment,
Khaṇātītā hi socanti,
you’ll grieve when sent to hell.
nirayamhi samappitā”ti.
