“That state’s very challenging;it’s for the sages to attain.With her two-inch wisdom,it’s not possible for a woman.”

“Yaṁ taṁ isīhi pattabbaṁ, ṭhānaṁ durabhisambhavaṁ; Na taṁ dvaṅgulapaññāya, sakkā pappotumitthiyā”.

“That state’s very challenging;

“Yaṁ taṁ isīhi pattabbaṁ,

it’s for the sages to attain.

ṭhānaṁ durabhisambhavaṁ;

With her two-inch wisdom,

Na taṁ dvaṅgulapaññāya,

it’s not possible for a woman.”

“Itthibhāvo no kiṁ kayirā, cittamhi susamāhite; Ñāṇamhi vattamānamhi, sammā dhammaṁ vipassato.

“Itthibhāvo no kiṁ kayirā,

when the mind is serene,

cittamhi susamāhite;

as you rightly discern the Dhamma.

Sabbattha vihatā nandī, *nandī → nandi (bj, sya1ed, sya2ed, pts1ed, pts2ed)Tamokhandho padālito; Evaṁ jānāhi pāpima, Nihato tvamasi antakā”ti.

Relishing is banished in every respect,

So know this, Wicked One:

Evaṁ jānāhi pāpima,

you’re beaten, terminator!”
