And what is complete understanding? Katamā ca, rādha, pariññā? The ending of greed, hate, and delusion. Yo kho, rādha, rāgakkhayo dosakkhayo mohakkhayo—This is called complete understanding. ayaṁ vuccati, rādha, pariññā.
And what is the individual who has completely understood? It should be said: a perfected one, the venerable of such and such name and clan. This is called the individual who has completely understood.”
Katamo ca, rādha, pariññātāvī puggalo? ‘Arahā’tissa vacanīyaṁ. Yvāyaṁ āyasmā evaṁnāmo evaṅgotto— ayaṁ vuccati, rādha, pariññātāvī puggalo”ti.
And what is the individual who has completely understood? Katamo ca, rādha, pariññātāvī puggalo? It should be said: a perfected one, ‘Arahā’tissa vacanīyaṁ. the venerable of such and such name and clan. Yvāyaṁ āyasmā evaṁnāmo evaṅgotto—This is called the individual who has completely understood.” ayaṁ vuccati, rādha, pariññātāvī puggalo”ti.
