Sujātā

I was adorned with jewelry and all dressed up,with garlands, and sandalwood makeup piled on,all covered over with decorations,and surrounded by my maids.

“Alaṅkatā suvasanā, mālinī candanokkhitā; Sabbābharaṇasañchannā, dāsīgaṇapurakkhatā.

Taking food and drink,staples and dainties in no small amount,I left my houseand took myself to the park.

Annaṁ pānañca ādāya, khajjaṁ bhojjaṁ anappakaṁ; Gehato nikkhamitvāna, uyyānamabhihārayiṁ.

I enjoyed myself there and played about,and then, returning to my own house,I saw a monastic dwelling,and so I entered the Añjana wood at Sāketa.

Tattha ramitvā kīḷitvā, āgacchantī sakaṁ gharaṁ; Vihāraṁ daṭṭhuṁ pāvisiṁ, sākete añjanaṁ vanaṁ.

I enjoyed myself there and played about,Tattha ramitvā kīḷitvā, and then, returning to my own house,āgacchantī sakaṁ gharaṁ; I saw a monastic dwelling,Vihāraṁ daṭṭhuṁ pāvisiṁ, and so I entered the Añjana wood at Sāketa.sākete añjanaṁ vanaṁ.

Seeing the light of the world,I paid homage and sat down.Out of compassionthe Clear-eyed One taught me the DhammaDhamma1. Fenómeno; cualquier cosa que ocurre y es cognoscible. 2. Disvāna lokapajjotaṁ, vanditvāna upāvisiṁ; So me dhammamadesesi, anukampāya cakkhumā.

Seeing the light of the world,Disvāna lokapajjotaṁ, I paid homage and sat down.vanditvāna upāvisiṁ; Out of compassionSo me dhammamadesesi, the Clear-eyed One taught me the Dhamma.anukampāya cakkhumā.

When I heard the great seer,I penetrated the truth.Right there I found the stainless Dhamma,the state free of death.

Sutvā ca kho mahesissa, saccaṁ sampaṭivijjhahaṁ; Tattheva virajaṁ dhammaṁ, phusayiṁ amataṁ padaṁ.

When I heard the great seer,Sutvā ca kho mahesissa, I penetrated the truth.saccaṁ sampaṭivijjhahaṁ; Right there I found the stainless Dhamma,Tattheva virajaṁ dhammaṁ, the state free of death.phusayiṁ amataṁ padaṁ.

Then, having understood the true teaching,I went forth to homelessness.I’ve attained the three knowledges;the BuddhaBuddhaEl nombre dado a quien redescubre por sí mismo el sendero liberador del Dhamma, tras un largo período de haber sido olvidado por el mundo. Then, having understood the true teaching,Tato viññātasaddhammā, I went forth to homelessness.pabbajiṁ anagāriyaṁ; I’ve attained the three knowledges;Tisso vijjā anuppattā, the Buddha’s bidding was not in vain.amoghaṁ buddhasāsanan”ti.
