Mahāpajāpati Gotamī

Oh BuddhaBuddhaEl nombre dado a quien redescubre por sí mismo el sendero liberador del Dhamma, tras un largo período de haber sido olvidado por el mundo. Oh Buddha, my hero: homage to you!“Buddha vīra namo tyatthu, Supreme among all beings,sabbasattānamuttama; who released me from suffering,Yo maṁ dukkhā pamocesi, and many other beings as well.aññañca bahukaṁ janaṁ.

All suffering is fully understood;craving—its cause—is dried up;the eightfold path has been developed;and cessation has been realized by me.

Sabbadukkhaṁ pariññātaṁ, Hetutaṇhā visositā; Bhāvito aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo, *Bhāvito aṭṭhaṅgiko → ariyaṭṭhaṅgiko (bj, pts1ed-2), bhāvitaṭṭhaṅgikoNirodho phusito mayā.

Diṭṭho hi me so bhagavā, antimoyaṁ samussayo; Vikkhīṇo jātisaṁsāro, natthi dāni punabbhavo.

Since I have seen the Blessed One,Diṭṭho hi me so bhagavā, this bag of bones is my last.antimoyaṁ samussayo; Transmigration through births is finished,Vikkhīṇo jātisaṁsāro, now there’ll be no more future lives.natthi dāni punabbhavo.

I see the disciples in harmony,energetic and resolute,always staunchly vigorous—this is homage to the Buddhas!

Āraddhavīriye pahitatte, Niccaṁ daḷhaparakkame; Samagge sāvake passe, Esā buddhāna vandanā.

It was truly for the benefit of manythat Māyā gave birth to Gotama.He swept away the mass of sufferingfor those stricken by sickness and death.

Bahūnaṁ vata atthāya, *Bahūnaṁ → bahunnaṁ (bj)Māyā janayi gotamaṁ; Byādhimaraṇatunnānaṁ, Dukkhakkhandhaṁ byapānudī”ti.
