In order to go on retreat,a monk should stay in lodgingsthat are secluded and quiet,frequented by beasts of prey.

“Vivittaṁ appanigghosaṁ, vāḷamiganisevitaṁ; Seve senāsanaṁ bhikkhu, paṭisallānakāraṇā.

In order to go on retreat,
“Vivittaṁ appanigghosaṁ,
a monk should stay in lodgings
vāḷamiganisevitaṁ;
that are secluded and quiet,
Seve senāsanaṁ bhikkhu,
frequented by beasts of prey.
